The Dirty Terps Celebrity Golf Classic is a stroke play celebrity golf event showcasing golfers from the world of sports and entertainment. Twenty-two foursomes get paired with a single celebrity and fivesomes compete against one another for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place. The field is comprised of 110 golfers. Twelve of the twenty-two groups are tournament sponsor while the other ten groups are made up of baseball supporters, program enthusiasts and former players.
The 18-hole, scramble style format features several course contests: Hole-in-One, Long Drive, Closest to-Pin, Double-Your-Money, Tee-it-Forward and an Air Cannon shot. Our Putting Skills Competition is among the most popular events of the day and is an absolute MUST TRY!
Stick around after golf for an amazing dinner prepared by Head Chef of The Bistro, Osvaldo Ayala. Mingle with celebrities and former players while you enjoy a drink and a cigar on the patio. Sit around the firepit listening to live music by former Terps infielder, Sam Hojnar. Tournament victors and contest winners will be announced at dinner. Raffle and auction item frontrunners will be declared after dinner during the social hour and the evening closes with a message from Coach Swope.

This year the 2nd Annual Dirty Terps Celebrity Golf Classic returns to The Golf Club at South River in Edgewater, Md. The private club opens its distinguished championship course to us on Monday, October 14th for an incredible day in which, we raise money for second year Head Coach, Matt Swope and his Terps Baseball program.
Registration/ Check-in starts at 8:30am. Golfers are given their Competition Gift bag at Check-in and can grab complimentary coffee, breakfast sandwiches and Bloody Mary’s prior to hitting the driving range or putting green. The South River Golf Pro will address ground rules, and the National Anthem will be played just before the 10am Shotgun start.
Our goal in this year’s second annual event is to gross $125,000 in revenue and to net $62,500 in profit. All proceeds will go directly to the baseball program’s NIL Collective. Please visit the SPONSOR page to learn more about what opportunity interests you.
There are three levels of Tournament Sponsorship: HOF, MLB and MiLB. The HOF Level is Title Sponsor while the MLB and MiLB sponsor levels compliment the tournament and offer unique and exclusive benefits.
